5G technology can do things that simply can’t be done now

For example, there are some SDN software-defined networks and some network cloudization, which can make the grid very flexible and can meet various human needs. Ge Yue, Apple’s global vice president, believes that the development trend of 5G mainly focuses on three areas. First of all, it can achieve extremely large data storage. For example, AR/VR technologies can become a reality with the emergence of 5G. After all, it requires a huge amount of data storage. Second, it can achieve extremely low latency and help various industries, such as multi-functional medical equipment. Precisely because of this extremely low latency, medical equipment can be remotely controlled and various data can be fed back in real time. So, as these new technologies emerge, there are all kinds of possibilities where feedback can be done almost in real time. Third, the interconnection between machines can enable the interconnection of a large number of sensors or any smart device imaginable such as smart electricity meters and water meters. These are all because of 5G technology.
